A Railway Station and I

One of my greatest passions in the world is that of traveling by a railway train and seeing the world through the window of one. What meets the eye to a traveler on a train to take one to faraway places occurs in the long-standing yet timeless station at which a traveler boards a train by the platform. The railway station is considered the heart of railway travel, and is a resplendent showcase of the golden age of travel, during a time when venturing was not about getting there, but about going. Traveling by a train is the most wonderful, beautiful, fantastic, and best way of all to travel anywhere through my own eyes. A railway station is a place that can be used to describe me the most, for it is the center of adventure from here and to anywhere afar you may want to visit. Railways, with ribbons of steel, bind one city to another and give one the sense of assurance that someone else is out there, waiting to be met or to meet someone themselves on their many a journey. The mystery of travel, change and excitement that train travel offers, to me makes it the most romantic way to travel. It is ideal for an adventurer and romanticist such as myself.
Time to me is one of The Lord’s most precious gifts. The railways had being timely, efficient and precise mean everything to them as to make sure their passengers were content. For every minute a train was late, the passengers would receive a sum of their ticket’s value back for apologetic reasons. Taking responsibility in one’s actions is a very model of face in such a rhetorical world we now live in. Clocks by the dozens were always aligned in a station. The clock to me is one of my most favorite inventions by man. The clocks hung from lampposts or hung from the ceilings of the platform sheds were each majestically crafted timekeeping pieces. It all the more warns someone when their train is about to leave and their journey begins. Inside the big city stations, there would especially be featured prominent paintings and portraits of lands faraway that look so inviting to the novice traveler. The quintessence of seeing the world the railways brought by making it smaller and accessible in safety and comfort made time on the side of the railways, and seeing Bombay, Timbuktu, Paris, Cairo, and London an option for vacationers. I would love to put in any amount of time to see a land afar for the sake of experiencing other worlds.
They say that travel is not about the destination but it is the journey, which is the most important part of all. The railways made their stations all so evocative of the great event travel was, by having the most grandiose architecture in the entire city which they were the center of. A train trip to me makes the most of a long journey, and to me life itself is not about the end of it, but the path along the way that I take. During life we encounter and part from our friends and loved ones. Traveling by the railway I believe allows one to make many a friend and learn of other lands to which they hope to see one day on their way by railway. As much as a station of the railway offers one a ticket and tiny taste of the legendary lands far away, a train gives one the opportunity to speak with others who are experienced and adventurous sightseers. That is one of the reasons people love travel, as it allows them to meet new faces. A railway station is something that can be used to describe me because in other words I am wanting of travel and all the wonders through train travel it has to offer.
